Article I – Name
The name of this organization shall be THE LEAGUE OF ALLIED
ARTS CORPORATION. A nonprofit 501 c3 tax organization. Federal Tax ID No. 51-0172517
Article II – Purpose
The purpose shall be:
(a) To study, sponsor and promote all forms of art;
(b) To establish an inter-cultural fellowship through the medium of creative arts:
(c) To give special attention to nurturing, developing and extending the arts of our own ethnic community.
(d) To seek out, encourage, and patronize aspiring artists in our community.
Article III – Membership
Section 1. Composition
Membership shall be composed of not more than fifty (50), nor fewer than twenty-two (22) active members.
Section 2. Categories of Membership
Dorothy Vena Johnson Corporate Membership – Corporations that provide a contribution of $2,500 and above to The League and are listed in all marketing materials, brochures, and programs. Additional benefits will be added.
Juanita Miller Corporate Membership – Corporations that provide $1,500 – $2,499 to The League and are listed in all marketing materials, brochures, and programs. Additional benefits will be added.
Langston Hughes Individual & Organization Membership – Persons and organizations that provide a $1,000 – $1,499 contribution to The
League and are listed on all marketing materials, brochures and programs.
Additional benefits will be added.
Section 3. Selection
Members shall be chosen by election as vacancies occur and the members shall determine when such an election shall be held.
